London Theatre of Ballroom provides a range of non competitive, fully inclusive dance workshops for schools. These are designed to help young people of all ages develop their physical, social and cultural education, through the enjoyment of dance.

Structured to meet National Curriculum criteria for dance, the one day and/or term long workshops, stimulate and challenge from Foundation through to and including Key stages 1,2,3,4. The workshops can be tailored to meet specific requirements and can be used to create cross-curricular links to other study subjects.

Dance helps to increase physical co-ordination, develops self-esteem, fitness, confidence, awareness and discipline. It promotes team building, aids a greater sense of social skill and increases historical and cultural understanding.

With our extensive teaching and performance experience we have created workshops that are rich, stimulating and fun and the increased profile of dance has created a new wave of interest in dance for young people.

Testimonials

'London Theatre of Ballroom' led by Ashley Green were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them to any schools looking to increase the creativity within their curriculum. The sense of achievement that all the children experienced, was a pleasure to observe. Long may they continue to create awe and wonder within lessons.

DIS Feet

The children learnt a series of Fitness and social dances which they thoroughly enjoyed.  A series of stretches and cool down activities helped ensure the children were calm and ready to learn once back in class. The sessions were delivered in a bubbly and enthusiastic manner and the children worked really hard during each dance routine.  They found the music fun and engaging. Through working with the children, LTB provided professional development for all the staff involved, as the teachers are now able to deliver fresh and exciting ideas to stimulate children’s dance lessons.
We would whole heartedly recommend LTB to come into your school and work with children of any age. The dances can be linked to topics the children are learning in class and enhance children’s dance lessons in PE.
